Internalized homophobia, self-deprecation, yearning. Eidolon (2019) draws inspiration from the underlying layer of toxicity within gay subcultures through dating apps during early stages of self-exploration. Culmination of self-destruction is personified by caricatures of the queer man's relationship to his own femininity.
